R-290 Propane Charging Limits
Field Status: R-290 (Propane) is a Class A3 (Highly Flammable) refrigerant. Unlike R-32, which is mildly flammable, R-290 has extremely strict charge limits (typically 150g per circuit) in commercial self-contained refrigeration to prevent fire hazards.
We audit the system charge against the safety threshold for the specific cabinet volume and floor area. If you exceed the maximum allowable charge, you are in violation of international safety standards (IEC 60335-2-89).
